Well, the Blues Guitar Secrets (BGS) program by Dan Denley is finally here, the course that claims to teach you how to master playing blues guitar (and I’ve just got approved as an affiliate – woohoo! … this means I can now make you a deal if you buy Dan’s blues guitar course here – more details in a bit).
When Dan launched his highly-anticipated blues guitar package, many of you blues guitar fans are asking if the lessons contained in the course can make you a better player. Let’s try to address that question here.
Before you continue reading, let me lay out what I’ll cover in this post:
- About Dan Denley, the Blues Guitar Teacher
- The money back deal if you decide to purchase his course through my affiliate link
About Dan Denley, the Blues Guitar Teacher
You’re probably wondering why I didn’t just start with a full-blown review of the course.
There are a number of reasons, but the most important one is this:
It Really Doesn’t Matter What My Opinion Is To The Success Of Your Blues Learning Journey.
I mean it.
Guitar courses are notorious for receiving rave reviews from one group of students, only to get two thumbs down from another.
You have to realize that no single guitar course satisfies the needs or expectations of all students. We all come in at different experience levels, and with different sets of skills.
Personally, I’d rather review the teacher to get a better idea of the quality of the content that I can expect before I purchase any material from them.
In this respect, Dan has made it extremely easy for you to “review” him, because he’s published a ton of blog posts and free video lessons online.
I don’t know of any other guitar teacher who’s gone this far in being willing to display their playing and teaching skills (or lack thereof) for all to see.
So, without further ado, here’s a list (or catalog if you will) of what I think are Dan’s best blues videos, sample tracks and lessons, related blog posts, and my own summary of them. Hopefully, this will help you know for sure whether Dan’s the right blues guitar teacher to hand your money over to.
Jam track from BGS
This is the second track from the Jam CD (included in the $159 version of the package) that can be downloaded as an mp3 file, and you also get a peek into the tablature that’s written for that track (again, included in the Jam Tracks course book which is part of the $159 package).
In this track, Dan covers a typical 12-bar blues: 4 bars of I, two bars of IV, two bars of I, one bar of V, one bar of IV, one bar of I, one bar of V (a “turnaround”). The quality of the material is excellent, as the professionally-recorded backing music sounds like a full band (I even hear a bass guitar in there) and is certainly something you’d want to play on your sound system at full blast and play along to.
Customer testimonials
Dan’s course seems to have received a lot of positive customer reviews, and you can read them for yourself here.
The Money Back Deal
OK, about the offer that I was hinting at earlier …
and get 15% of the purchase price back.
All it takes is two steps (just so you know, it’s exactly of the same type I offer to customers of Steve Krenz’s Learn and Master Guitar program).
Step One
Important! Only perform this step once you are ready to make your purchase. I recommend that you first bookmark this page, close all your other browser sessions and P2P services (eg Gator, BitTorrent downloaders, etc) and then return to this page.
CLICK HERE to purchase Dan Denley’s Blues Guitar Secrets.
The link I just gave you is my affiliate link, and I will earn a referral fee (a.k.a. commission) if you make your order through that. I just want you to fully understand the implication of clicking that link.
Step Two
As soon as you get a confirmation email for your BGS purchase, CONTACT ME with the following details:
Subject:
Mention Blues Guitar Secrets rebate
Your Message:
State whether you prefer an Amazon.com gift certificate, or money in your Paypal account.
For the gift certificate, indicate clearly if you prefer the certificate from Amazon.com, Amazon.ca, Amazon.co.uk, and so on.
For cash in your Paypal account, you’ll need to provide me with your Paypal email ID
That’s all! But I need to be clear about three things
First, after confirming your Order ID with the BGS system, I will immediately send you the rebate.
Second, kindly note that this is NOT Dan’s offer to you. It’s mine, so if there are any issues with my offer, it’s just between you and me. We have to be fair to Dan because legally, I’m not his agent, just an affiliate.
Third, and I’ve experienced this with my L&MG offer – there are occasions when the commission is NOT credited to me even if you purchase through my link.
This is always a major headache we affiliates go through, and if you’re interested in how this can happen, read this article about how spyware, bots and adware can steal our commissions. That’s why I asked you to close other browser sessions and peer-to-peer software running in the background, but even then, this is no guarantee that I get credited for your sale.
If I don’t get the commission, I won’t be able to pay you, unless I have customers who had elected NOT to ask for the rebate – in that case, I can then give you the rebate that was originally due to them.
Despite what I’ve just said though, I don’t want you to get the impression that commission theft happens all the time. So I strongly urge you to consider taking me up on my offer, as cases where I couldn’t send the rebate to my customers are extremely rare, less than 2% of all transactions.
Anyway, I’d like to wish you all the best with learning the blues guitar, and please, don’t hesitate to drop me a line if you need any clarification about guitars, guitar lessons or my offers.
Thank You!
I dont play but would like to learn, what do you recommend
